Otto Mohrmann

Otto Mohrmann (born November 16, 1901 in Berlin , † March 18, 1993 in Kulmbach ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Mohrmann attended elementary school and secondary school and left them with the upper secondary qualification. He later attended the commercial college and worked as an insurance clerk, publishing clerk and advertising specialist. In 1918 he joined the trade union, a year later he joined the Socialist Workers' Youth and the SPD. Until the dissolution of the party in 1933, he held several honorary functions there. In March 1933 he was elected to the district assembly of Berlin-Prenzlauer Berg , two months later he was elected to the Berlin city assembly . However, he lost his mandate when the party dissolved in June 1933. From 1941 to 1945 he was obliged to work in the press office of the Todt Organization . After its dissolution, he went to Kulmbach, where he initially worked as managing director and trustee, and later as editor of a specialist magazine. Meanwhile, he joined the re-established SPD and was a member of the Kulmbach city council from 1956 to 1963. On December 19, 1961, he replaced the resigned Martin Hirsch in the Bavarian state parliament, in 1962 and 1966 he won the direct mandate in the district of Kulmbach-Stadt und -Land , Stadtsteinach (later the district of Kulmbach ) and was a member of the state parliament until 1970.
