Otto Wallig

Otto Wallig (born September 12, 1898 in Zellerndorf , † February 11, 1969 in Eggenburg ) was an Austrian farmer and politician ( ÖVP ). Wallig from 1945 to 1954 member of the Lower Austrian state parliament and from 1954 to 1959 member of the Federal Council .

Wallig attended elementary and community school and completed various agricultural courses. As a result, he took over his parents' farm in 1921. He was awarded the professional title of Economics Council.

Wallig was elected to the local council in 1936 and was mayor of Zellerndorf in 1938 and from 1945 to 1960. Between 1936 and 1938 and 1945 he also held the function of a chamber council and was district farmers chamber chairman. Wallig represented the ÖVP between December 12, 1945 and November 10, 1954 in the Lower Austrian state parliament and was a member of the Federal Council from November 10, 1954 to June 4, 1959.
