Otto von Uexküll (Knighthood Captain)

Otto von Uexküll († 1650 ) was an Estonian district administrator and knight captain .

Life

Otto von Uexküll came from the German-Baltic noble family Uexküll . His parents were Reinhold von Uexküll auf Felcks († 1618) and Dorothea von Taube adH Maart († 1603).

He must have been born before 1600 and was the heir to Felcks, Aß and Wahhaft. From 1632 to 1635 he led the Estonian knighthood as their captain.

Uexküll married Hildegard von Uexküll († 1665), daughter of the Swedish field marshal Otto von Uexküll († 1601). She gave him the estate. The marriage resulted in a total of four children:

  1. Otto Reinhold († after 1667), heir to Felcks, Wahhaft and Kaarman, Rittmeister and District Administrator, ⚭ Margaretha von Zoege
  2. Margaretha († 1681), ⚭ 1627 Bernd von Taube († 1676), heir to Issen
  3. Sophie Gertrude († 1669), ⚭ Fabian von Zoege († 1694), judge
  4. Hildegard Elisabeth, ⚭ Heinrich von Rehbinder († 1694), major general
