Otto von Uexküll († 1601 ) was a Swedish field marshal .

Life

Otto von Uexküll came from the Estonian noble family Uexküll . His parents were Johann von Uexküll auf Kosch (1563 †) and Barbara von Anrep from the house of Thrush.

He must have been born before 1564 and was mentioned in a document from 1583 to 1601, was the heir to Fickel and Aß, district administrator in Wierland , 1592 field marshal and 1599 governor in Narwa .

Uexküll is the Swedish-Polish war fallen and was on February 3, 1601 in the Cathedral to Reval buried. His grave monument was created by Arent Passer .

He was married twice, his first marriage to Margaretha von Gilsen, who inherited the estate of Aß for him, and his second marriage to Sophia von Vietinghoff . A total of five children resulted from both marriages:
