Outerspace is a hip-hop duo from Philadelphia founded in 1997.

history

Planetary and Crypt the Warchild have known each other since childhood and began to deal with text writing and rapping when they were 13 (Planetary) and 11 (Crypt). In the late 1990s, the two had monthly events and underground appearances with Jedi Mind Tricks MC Vinnie Paz. In 1997 they released the vinyl EP Illegalienz . In 1998, with the support of MC Paz, the first single entitled We Lyve was released on vinyl and cassette.

From 2000 the duo had guest contributions on the Jedi Mind Tricks albums, and is part of the Army of the Pharaohs formation . In 2002 another single called 151 ° / Divine Evil was released. In July 2004 her debut album Blood and Ashes was released via Babygrande Records , with guest contributions from Sadat X , 7L & Esoteric, and Immortal Technique , in which the influence of Jedi Mind Tricks can be seen. In the same year a compilation was also released under the title Jedi Mind Tricks Presents: Outerspace , as well as the single Top Shelf / Fire And Ice .

In 2006 the second album Blood Brothers appeared , on which their mentor Vinnie Paz is represented with two features, as well as a compilation by Outerspace self-distributed with the title Shut Off Notice . With Street Massacre another single was released in September of that year. Two years later, in 2008, they released their third album, God's Fury , on which Vinnie Paz also has a feature. Outerspace also featured a feature on the album Kraftwerk by the German production team Snowgoons , which was released in December 2010 . The fourth album, My Brother's Keeper, which was released in 2011, was not released via Babygrande Records, but via Vinnie Paz's own label "Enemy Soil".
