The Overseas Shipholding Group ( OSG ) is a shipping company with headquarters in Tampa and branches in Athens, Houston, London, Manila, Montreal, Newcastle, New York, Philadelphia and Singapore. The company operates oil tankers . Its fleet currently (2017) comprises 23 operational ships (10 of which are chartered ) with a total deadweight of around 955,733 million tons dwt . Until 2009, the company also operated the world's largest double-hulled oil tanker, the TI Oceania , and one of its sister ships, the TI Africa .

The company was founded in 1948 and has been listed on the New York Stock Exchange since 1970 .
Prior to bankruptcy in November 2012, the company operated 111 ships and had sales of over $ 1 billion. After a restructuring of the company with a significantly smaller fleet, the bankruptcy protection under Chapter 11 of the US bankruptcy law was lifted in August 2014 . In 2016, the international business was spun off as International Seaways, Inc. and the headquarters of OSG relocated to Tampa, Florida .
