The Owen Hills are a series of rugged and icy hills in Antarctica's Ross Dependency . In the Queen Alexandra chain, they rise up on the west side of the Beardmore Glacier between the Sock and Evans Glaciers .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named them in 1966 after George Hodges Owen (1913–1974), an employee in the US State Department specifically for matters relating to Antarctica from 1959 to 1962.
