Oz Clarke

Robert Owen "Oz" Clarke (* 1949 , England ) is a British actor , wine critic , author , TV and radio presenter .

Career

Oz began his career as a wine critic early on as a student as captain of the Oxford University wine tasting team . He then worked as an actor and singer, before turning increasingly to the subject of wine from 1984 onwards.

In 1995 Oz developed the Microsoft Wine Guide on CD-ROM , which contained ratings of almost 6000 wines with corresponding maps. This Microsoft Wine Guide has received several awards. He also appeared regularly as a presenter for the BBC .

At the end of 2006, the BBC broadcast the season Oz and James's Big Wine Adventure , in which OZ traveled through France as a wine expert with James May . At the end of 2007, the second season was broadcast from the California wine region. A third season, Oz and James Drink to Britain , filmed in the UK , came out in 2009.
