Pågen is a large Swedish bakery that was founded by Anders and Matilda Påhlsson in Malmö in 1878 and produces bread and pastries . The products are available in Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland and Northern Germany, but are also exported to other European countries, e.g. B. France. In northern Germany, the products are sold in food retail, e.g. B. distributed at Edeka , as well as at IKEA .

Pågen has around 1400 employees, most of them in Sweden. There are bakeries in Malmö and Gothenburg . Pågen's best-known product is “Soft Bröd”, a traditional Swedish bread.

Name and pronunciation

In the Skåne dialect, the name means "the boy ". In the United States , biscuits - borrowed from the pronunciation - were marketed under the name Pogen’s .
