Youth Pétanque World Championship 2007
The 11th Youth Pétanque World Championships took place from July 13-15 , 2007 in Suwa , Japan . At the same time, the 4th World Championships were held in the Tir de Précision ( precision shooting ).
The Fédération Internationale de Pétanque et Jeu Provençal (FIPJP) holds the world championships every two years.
23 of the 72 nations organized in the Fédération Internationale de Pétanque et Jeu Provençal (FIPJP) competed at the 11th Youth World Cup .
Triplets
Like all international championships in the boules sport pétanque , triplet was also played at the 11th Youth World Cup . The hosts Japan provided two teams, all other nations one team.
Round 1
In the first round, 4 groups with 6 teams played each against each other. The top four qualified for the second round. The eliminated teams continued to play in the Nations Cup.
The team of the German Pétanque Association (David Bourdoux (born 1990; BC Mannheim-Sandhofen), Frank Maurer (born 1991; BC Lahr-Ettenheim), Niclas Zimmer (born 1992; FT Freiburg) and Torsten Lay (born 1990; BC Saarwellingen) ) played in Group D, only lost to Thailand and qualified second for the second round. Switzerland also plays in group D, could only win against Australia and was eliminated from the World Cup. Austria did not take part.

round 2
In round 2 poule was played. Poules are groups of four teams. The winners and losers of the 1st game play against each other.
The winner of the winning game was directly qualified for the 1/4 final. The winner of the losing game and the loser of the winning game played a barrage . The winner qualified for the quarterfinals. The losers of the loser game and the barrage continue to play in the Nations Cup. The system can be tracked using the colored marking.
Germany caught a heavy group and was eliminated in the barrage.

Final round
France was world champion ahead of Spain . Italy and French Polynesia finished third.
Record champions France became world champions for the fifth time. Vice world champion Spain won his 7th World Championship medals (2 gold, 3 bronze, 2 silver).

Nations Cup
In the Nations Cup, the teams eliminated in the first rounds play a kind of B world championship.
Poule round
The first round was played poule. Switzerland and Germany met in Group H. In Game 1, the Swiss won 13: 1. Switzerland lost the winning game against Denmark 5:13, the DPV team won the losing game against India 13: 0. So Germany and Switzerland met in the barrage. The Germans won them 13: 9, Switzerland was eliminated.

The Germans took 3rd place next to Canada, Denmark won the Nations Cup ahead of Singapore

Tir de precision
The German Tireur could neither qualify for the final nor for the Repêchage in the preliminary round, the Swiss Begue Yannick narrowly missed the direct entry into the final, made it to the quarter-finals via the Repêchage, but was eliminated there. The Swede Jessica Johannson broke into the male domain and finished fifth.
The Thai Sarayoot Master became world champion and won the first Tireur-Medal (youth) for his country. Vice-champion Mendez Lorenzo, on the other hand, already won the third medal in Spain (2 silver, 1 bronze). Jessica Johannson's bronze medal is also the first medal for Sweden, while Roger Dylan's bronze medal complements an existing gold medal from France.
