Półbeczka

Półbeczka was a Polish volume and liquid measure and the half barrel. It was one of the older Warsaw measures and was also valid in the Free State of Krakow .

• 1 Półbeczka = ½ Beczka = 6840 Parisian cubic inches = 135.68 liters

The dimensional chain was from the old barrel:

• 1 Beczka / barrel = 2 Półbeczka / half barrel = 15 Konew / jugs = 72 Garniec / Garnitzen = 288 Kwarta = 1152 Kwaterka = 13680 Parisian cubic inches = 271.96 liters

Note : 75 Garniec were also possible, then other subsequent values

For comparison: The new Beczka barrel was calculated with 25 Garniec and a volume of 5041.24378 Parisian cubic inches or 1 hectolitre .
