The Pühajõgi ( Estonian for "Holy River") is a river in northern Estonia , in Ida-Viru County . Other names of the river are Ädise jõgi and Edise jõgi.
description
The Pühajõgi rises about 6 km southeast of the village of Saka ( Kohtla municipality ). It flows into the Baltic Sea in the Bay of Narva . The Pühajõgi is 28 km long. Its catchment area covers 196 km².
In the Pühajõgi river valley, near the mouth, is the Toila-Oru nature reserve .
