PDF Annotator is commercial application software for editing PDF files with tablet PCs .
Program and functions
The program is designed to create and edit PDF files with a pen on a tablet PC. This allows PDF files such as printed documents to be annotated or marked with a pen, forms or contracts can be filled out, or sketches can be created as PDF. The markings can also be removed or hidden again.
The program can also be operated on normal computers with a mouse and keyboard. On tablet PCs it offers an alternative to Microsoft Journal , which is often integrated as a note program in tablet PC versions of Windows , but requires a special viewer from Microsoft that is only available for Windows. In contrast, PDF is a format that is cross-platform and standardized. The program also has a camera integration with which the photos created can be transferred to the PDF immediately.
The markups created with PDF Annotator are not compatible with markups created with, for example, PDF XChange Viewer or Adobe Acrobat. Joint editing of annotated documents using software products other than PDF Annotator is therefore only possible with restrictions.
