The PL-10 was developed from 2004 at the Electro-Optical Research Institute in Luoyang for use in the new fighter aircraft of the PRC.

description

The PL-10 has an imaging multi-mode viewfinder that can view targets up to 90 ° to the side of the longitudinal axis. The target can be assigned using a helmet visor. The PL-10 is powered by a solid rocket motor and has vector thrust control, making it extremely maneuverable. To increase the range, narrow, elongated surfaces are attached in the middle of the fuselage that generate lift.
