PSA International is a Singaporean port operator that operates terminals in several major ports around the world. According to its own information, the company moves around 230,000 containers every day and handled 85.2 million TEU in 2019 . European ports with terminals from PSA International are located in Antwerp , Zeebrugge , Genoa , Venice , Sines and Gdansk . The company is owned by the state holding company Temasek . In 2010 PSA had a market share of 9.5% among all port operators worldwide, making it the market leader.

The Port of Singapore Authority (PSA) was founded on April 1, 1964 and initially managed berths with a total length of five kilometers and a storage area of ​​160,000 square kilometers. In the 1970s, PSA expanded a container port in Singapore and in 1972 cleared the first container ship. By 1982, a handling volume of one million TEU had been exceeded. With five million TEU in 1990, the port of Singapore was the largest container port in the world. In 1996, PSA expanded outside of Singapore for the first time with an investment in the port of Dalian .
