IC 720 is a spiral galaxy of the Hubble type Sbc with an active galaxy core in the constellation Virgo on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 281 million light years from the Milky Way and about 95,000 light years in diameter. Together with PGC 93112 , it forms an interacting pair of galaxies.
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies IC 718 , IC 719 , IC 722 , IC 724 .
The object was discovered by Rudolf Spitaler on March 25, 1892 .
