IC 722 is a spiral galaxy of Hubble type Sbc in the constellation Virgo to the ecliptic. It is an estimated 288 million light years from the Milky Way and about 95,000 light years in diameter.
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 3876 , IC 719 , IC 720 , IC 724 .
The object was discovered by Rudolf Spitaler on March 25, 1892 .
