IC 716 is a spiral galaxy of Hubble type Sbc in the constellation Virgo to the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 237 million light years from the Milky Way and about 115,000 light years across .

The type IIP supernova SN 2010ku was observed here.

The object was discovered by Stéphane Javelle on April 22, 1892 .
