IC 698 is a lenticular radio galaxy of the Hubble type S0 in the constellation Leo on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 280 million light years from the Milky Way and about 80,000 light years in diameter.
The galaxies IC 696 , IC 699 , IC 2857 , IC 2867 are located in the same area of ​​the sky .

The object was discovered by Rudolf Spitaler on March 31, 1892 .
