IC 700 is a galaxy of Hubble type S? in the constellation Leo on the ecliptic . It is an estimated 63 million light years away from the Milky Way and about 20,000 light years across.
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 3697 and IC 701 .
The object was discovered by Stéphane Javelle on April 28, 1892 .
