NGC 3644 = IC 684 is a bar-spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SBa in the constellation Leo on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 313 million light years from the Milky Way and about 140,000 light years in diameter.
In the same area of ​​the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 3630 , NGC 3643 , NGC 3647 , IC 683 .

The Type Ia supernova SN 1996V was observed here.

The object was discovered by Albert Marth on March 22, 1865 .
