IC 699 is a spiral galaxy of Hubble type Sb in Leo on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 272 million light years from the Milky Way and about 95,000 light years across.
The galaxies IC 698 , IC 2867 , IC 2876 , IC 2879 are located in the same area of the sky .
The object was discovered by Rudolf Spitaler on March 31, 1892 .
