Friedrich Mampel

Friedrich Mampel (born June 4, 1839 in Kirchheim ( Heidelberg ); † June 2, 1911 ibid) was a German farmer and member of the Baden state parliament .

Life

Friedrich Mampel was born the son of a mayor and master blacksmith. When the Franco-Prussian War broke out in 1870 , Mampel went to war as a volunteer in the provisions column of the 1st Infantry Division of the Prussian Guard Corps. In 1876 he was elected to the management of the agricultural district association Heidelberg. From 1889 to 1893 Mampel was a member of the People's Commission at the Kirchheim field clearing. In addition to his main job as a farmer, he was also active in public, among other things as a fire chief, jury member and aldermen . In 1893 Mampel supported the establishment of the Federation of Farmers (BdL), whereupon he became chairman of the Heidelberg district. Mampel has been a supporter of the German Social Reform Party since 1896 and represented it from 1897 to 1905 as a member of the Second Chamber of the Baden Estates Assembly .
