Pablo de Santis

Pablo de Santis (born February 27, 1963 in Buenos Aires , Argentina ) is an Argentine writer .

He studied literature at the University of Buenos Aires and worked as a journalist and comic book writer. In 1995 he published the album Rompecabezas , which contains some of the comics that were created in collaboration with the illustrator Max Cachimba ( pseudonym of Juan Pablo González) for the magazine Fierro , of which he was editor-in-chief. He has written around a dozen books for children and young people. He published his first novel El palacio de la noche in 1987. He also wrote texts for several television programs and various essays on the comics genre. His works have been translated into numerous Western and Eastern European languages, including German. In 1997, he became a finalist of the Premio Planeta literary prize with his novel The Translation .
