Pachora is a city in the Indian state of Maharashtra . The city is located on the banks of the Hivra River .
The city is part of the Jalgaon District . Pachora has the status of a Municipal Council . The city is divided into 27 wards . It had a total of 59,609 inhabitants on the cut-off date of the 2011 census, of which 30,958 were men and 28,651 women. Hindus make up the majority of the city's population with a share of over 75%. The literacy rate in 2011 was 82.34%, well above the national average.
The Pachora train station is the starting point for the Pachora – Jamner line. The city is also connected to the main road network of the state as well as the central government.
