Paderborn intelligence sheet

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Paderborn Intelligence Gazette (compare English: intelligence , message) was an official bulletin that first appeared in the Hochstift Paderborn in 1772 and continued until 1849.

history

The first page of the 14th edition of the 1777 year of the Paderborn Intelligence Gazette, first published in 1772 by Wilhelm Anton.

Especially after the Seven Years' War , intelligence papers appeared in the larger Lower Rhine-Westphalian territories . In the Hochstift Paderborn, Prince-Bishop Wilhelm Anton von der Asseburg only had an intelligence paper published in his ninth year in office (1772). The principality itself was thus inferior to the neighboring Catholic Duchy of Westphalia , which published the Arnsberg Intelligence Gazette as early as 1766 .

The publisher was Junfermann in Paderborn.
