The pagoda of the Yunyan Temple in Suzhou ( Chinese  苏州 云岩寺 塔 , Pinyin Sūzhōu Yúnyán sì tǎ ), also known under the name Huqiu Pagoda ( 虎 丘塔 , Hǔqiū tǎ ), is a tower-style brick pagoda on the hill Tiger Mounds ( Huqiu Shan ) outside the Changmen Gate of Suzhou in east China's Jiangsu Province . It dates from the Later Zhou Dynasty of the Five Dynasties . The seven-story octagonal pagoda is 47.5 m high. It has been on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China (1-68) since 1961 .
