Paleopedology

The paleopedology ( give a wiki. Παλαιός Palaios , old '+ πέδον Pedon , soil ', λόγος lógos , teaching ') is the branch of soil science that deals with the scientific study of paleosols concerned. The methods used come from a wide range of predominantly geoscientific disciplines, in particular soil science, geology , mineralogy , paleontology , palaeobotany , (geo) chemistry , (geo) physics and archeology . The paleopedologists in German-speaking countries have been exchanging ideas since 1977 in the paleopedology working group of the German Soil Science Society .
