The Warsaw Abramowicz Palace (also called Abramowicz House , Polish: Pałac Abramowiczów and Kamienica Abramowicza ) was built at the end of the 18th century and is a small city palace at 59 Nowy Świat Street .

history

The building is located on the historic part of Warsaw's Royal Route in the city's inner- city district, around 40 meters south of Ulica Świętokrzyska . The larger Zrazowski apartment building is on the opposite side of the street .

It was built around 1785 by Simon Gottlieb Zug for the merchant Grzegorz Abramowicz. During the Warsaw Uprising in 1944 it was destroyed by units of the Wehrmacht . From 1947 to 1950 it was rebuilt under Mieczysław Kuźma and Zygmunt Stępiński .

The palace is located in the escape of the road development; it is three-story, has a central triangular gable and a gate passage with a balcony on the street side. The facade is designed in a classical style with rich sculptural furnishings.
