Palau Congressional Library

Palau Congressional Library is the state library of the Pacific island state of Palau . It was founded on August 18, 1981 and is housed in the Palau National Congress building in Koror . Since 1996 the Congressional Librarian Harry Besebes has been the director of this institution. The library has 5,000 volumes and is growing by 350 volumes annually. The library employs 2 librarians.

The collection focuses on the laws enacted by the Congress, the journals of the meetings, the committee reports on legislation and guidelines.

In the library, the Congressional Clerks also conduct analysis and research on parliamentary documents and index the new entries. The library is open to the public, but not a member of the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA).

The institution was established by the Constitutional Government on January 1, 1981.
