Palazzo Morosini Brandolin
Palazzo Morosini Brandolin is a palace in Venice in the Veneto region of Italy . It is located in the Sestiere San Polo overlooking the Grand Canal , between the Rio di San Cassiano and the Fondamenta dell'Olio , opposite the Ca 'd'Oro .
history
The Morosini family had the palace built in the second half of the 15th century in the style of Ca 'Foscari . In the 18th century the palace fell to the Brandolini family , then to the Lagos and the Topans . Today the palace is divided into various condominiums.
description
The palace is an example of Florentine and Venetian Gothic . The current facade has basement and two portals on the ground floor ; above are the two main floors, each with a six-fold window in the middle, each flanked by a pair of individual windows. The windows on the first floor have ogee arches , while the typical on the second floor trefoil arches with interposed Four passports have. In the 19th century a third main floor was demolished, probably for reasons of statics .
