Palazzo da Riva is a palace in Venice in the Veneto region of Italy . It is located in the Sestiere Castello on the Rio della Pietà next to the Palazzo Martinengo .

The palace extends between the Rio della Pietà in the west and the Calle del Fontego in the east, where the main entrance opens to the small courtyard and the entrance hall on the ground floor. The old patrician house consists of a uniform structure around an inner courtyard with a fountain and main facades, which are decorated with valuable elements. From the perspective of the Venice by De 'Barbari (1500), the earlier buildings differ from the building part to the canal through their reduced dimensions compared to today's.

Today's dominant house, remodeled in 1712 and attributed to Domenico Rossi von Temanza , is divided into three parts and has a double passage hall. The building extends over five floors above the ground and shows a rationality of division, as it is typical for aristocratic buildings in Venice: From the inner courtyard and from the bank of the canal to the ground floor you get through the main entrance hall; the main staircase, in the middle of the entrance hall, consists of a double stone staircase and leads to the porteghi (reception rooms) on the upper floors and then in wood to the mezzanine under the roof.

The palace shows an elegantly elaborated facade facing the Rio della Pietà , which is completely clad with slabs of Istrian limestone and divided into three levels: in the lower zone, with its basement , which includes the architrave openings on the ground floor and the mezzanine, a broad one opens up Arched portal with a keystone bearing human-like high relief decoration. The balcony on the first main floor is continuous, the keystones of the arches are all presented differently, as can be found in other buildings designed by Domenico Rossi and his uncle Giuseppe Sardi . We know from the sculptures that the Rossis were based on the work of Giuseppe Toretti .
