The Palazzo Della Rovere is a former noble palace on Via della Conciliazione in Rome .

The palazzo was commissioned by Domenico della Rovere , cardinal priest of San Clemente and nephew of Pope Sixtus IV , and built between 1480 and 1490 by the architect Baccio Pontelli in the Borgo (Piazza Scossacavalli). The Florentine architect Pontelli closely followed the architectural style of Palazzo Venezia , one of the most important buildings in Rome in the 15th century. For over 300 years the palace was known as the Palazzo dei Penitenzieri . The palace is a listed building and can only be visited in the hotel area.

Since 1945 the palace has been the administrative seat of the Order of the Knights of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem and since 1950 it has also been the seat of the order's own Hotel Columbus. The five halls of the piano nobile with a ceiling painting by Pinturicchio house the official reception rooms of the order. The other rooms are decorated with decorative wall and ceiling paintings. In the left wing of the Palazzo, in the area of the Hotel Columbus, the old refectory offers a view of the inner garden. The hotel rooms have frescoes from 1552 by the Florentine painter Francesco Salviati .
