Palestine Investment Conference

The Palestine Investment Conference serves to strengthen the economy of the Palestinian Autonomous Territories and is intended to support a future Palestinian state. It took place in Bethlehem in 2008 and 2010. The conference is hosted by Mahmoud Abbas and Salam Fayyad . In 2008 Tony Blair also took part. In 2010 the US delegation was headed by George J. Mitchell .

The 2008 conference was focused on major development projects. One result is the planned town of Rawabi . The 2010 conference was focused on small and medium-sized businesses .
