Palm Island is an inhabited, narrow and approximately 1.5 kilometers long island off the coast of the main island of Aruba , east of the town of Pos Chiquito, near Queen Beatrix International Airport .
On the island there is a hotel, bar and restaurant on a coral reef. The ferry crossing from the main island takes around 10 minutes. There is a guarded beach and a water park on the island.
Specialty
The water park includes an extraordinary attraction. Equipped with an underwater helmet diving system, visitors can visit the tropical fish world off the coral island on foot and also take underwater photos of a crashed and submerged Cessna 414 aircraft . The use of the Sea-Trek helmet system is also possible for non-swimmers and people with no diving experience.
