The lip palpus (Palpus labialis; Latin from Latin. Labialis = "lip" and palpus = "feeler, curl"), also labial palpus, is a leg-like palpus (feeler) on the lower lip ( labium ) of the insect's mouth . It represents the telepodite of this organ and usually consists of three to five individual members. On mentum can the Palpiger seated.
