Pamphiles
Pamphile refers to a type of warship used mainly in the Adriatic in the fleet of the Byzantine Empire of the 9th century. It represents the successor type of the Liburnian and was used together with the larger and more frequently used dromone . The approximately 20 m long wooden ship was driven by a row of rowers on each side of the board.
