Panagiotis Paraskevopoulos
Panagiótis Paraskevopóulos ( Greek Παναγιώτης Παρασκευόπουλος , * 1875 near Gortynia , Arcadia ; † July 8, 1956 in Corfu ) was a Greek athlete .
In the discus throw at the Olympic Games in Athens in 1896 , he led for a long time with a width of 28.955 m, but was pushed to second place by the American Robert Garrett when this increased to 29.15 m in his last attempt.
At the Olympic Games in Paris in 1900 Paraskevopoulos was fourth in the discus throw and fifth in the shot put .
