The third and final Pan American Football Championship took place from March 6 to March 20, 1960 in San José , Costa Rica . Argentina won the tournament.
Guillermo Stábile , also known as the first top scorer at a soccer world cup since 1930, won his seventh title as coach of the Argentine national team after six Copa Américas . He ended his coaching career after this tournament.
