Panono Camera

The Panono Camera is a spherical panorama camera with 36 permanently installed camera modules. The 11 cm wide, almost 500-gram ball can be thrown or mounted on a tripod at the same time take 36 frames, which then online at a spherical panorama together can be.

use

With the Panono, all 36 camera modules are triggered simultaneously for a recording. This is done either via a release button on the camera, a stick, via a mobile app that is connected to the panorama camera via WiFi , or automatically at the highest point of the trajectory parabola when throwing it up.

The 36 individual images of the camera can be added together to form a panorama image after the recording. For an automatic composition of the spherical panorama, the data must be uploaded to a Panono web server in Ireland . Uploading and calculation take several minutes, and the composite spherical panorama has an image resolution of a good 100  megapixels . The combined images can only be called up there either via web links or as inline frames for HTML websites.

The exposure works automatically. The shutter speed can be set manually between two seconds and 1/4000 second if necessary. Alternatively, the light sensitivity of the image sensors can be selected between ISO 50 and ISO 800.

Alternatively, you can use special software (Unstitched Panorama Format (UPF) Converter) to load the 36 individual images onto your own computer and combine them there with an image processing program .
