Bas Oskam (born August 14, 1980 in Veenendaal ) is a Dutch hardstyle and hardcore techno DJ .

Career

Oskam heard a synthesizer compilation for the first time when he was six and was fascinated by it. In 1995 he started as a hobby to create the first tracks on his computer , but without sending them to a label .

Oskam changed that in 2005 as he got more professional and produced more. At this point, some of his tracks were also being played at parties. His first track was released on a so-called compilation vinyl. It was not until June 16, 2006 that he released his own vinyl on the Asbest label . At the beginning of his career he produced hard trance .

Oskam is also known as Roughstyler , Pavelow and SMD .

As Kasparov

Under the name Kasparov, Oskam has been producing exclusively hardcore techno for the Megarave Records label since 2005 ; his first vinyl was released by Asbest Records. Since 2008 Kasparov has consisted of two people, Bas Oskam and Bas Verheul. The music is produced by Oskam and Verheul is the DJ.

As noise controllers

The Noisecontrollers project was originally founded in 2005 by music producers Bas Oskam and Arjan Terpstra, who produce and play Hardstyle . The “ Disc Jockey Team” became famous in 2009 with the In Qontrol anthem Ctrl.Alt.Delete . On November 20, 2013, the duo announced that they would no longer work together. Arjan Terpstra justified his decision with wanting to concentrate on his own style. Bas Oskam has continued the project alone since then. They had their last joint appearance at Qlimax 2013.

Under other pseudonyms

As Williams Syndrome he initially produced Rawstyle with Terpstra. As Pavelow he produces Dubstyle , but also plays these tracks during performances and integrated some of the tracks into his album All Around . He releases hardcore techno as Speedy Bass and Bas Verheul .
