The Panorama Point is one of a hill towering over the headland in the Antarctic Ross Dependency . It is located on the northwest side of the Cotton Plateau and marks the confluence of the Marsh Glacier with the Nimrod Glacier to the east .
The crew of a campaign carried out from 1964 to 1965 as part of the New Zealand Geological Survey Antarctic Expedition to explore the Holyoake Range , the Cobham Range and the Queen Elizabeth Range named them after the view offered here.
