Paola Piglia

Paola Piglia (* 1955 in Turin ) is an Italian artist who lives in London .

Paola Piglia studied at UC Berkeley (BA) and EGS (MA and PhD). Her doctoral thesis Upward Crashes has been published as a book by Atropos Press.

She worked in New York for many years before moving to London. Her editorial work appears regularly in Frankfurter Allgemeine Magazin, Vogue , GQ , The New York Times Magazine, LIFE , Time , The Atlantic Monthly , Berlin Verlag etc.

Her corporate clients include the European Commission, Holvis, Toshiba, Lundbeck, Ing. Bank, Bankers Trust, Benson and Hedges, Pelikan, Ritzenhoff, Deutsche Telekom, Royal Mail etc. Her work has appeared in several annual editions, including American Illustration, European Illustration and all editions of Lürzer's-Archiv, where it was named one of the 100 best illustrators in the world.

She also gives lectures at the Royal College of Art , Virginia Commonwealth Uni., Stuttgart Art School, California College of the Arts, etc.
