Papyrus 62 (named after Gregory-Aland with Sigel 62 ) is an early Greek copy of the New Testament . The fragments of the papyrus manuscript contain part of the Gospel of Matthew . Verses 25 to 30 of the eleventh chapter have been preserved. It was dated to the 4th century by means of paleography . Also included is Daniel 3, 51-53, this text has the Rahlfs number 0994. The papyrus was perhaps once part of an amulet.

The Greek text of the Codex represents the Alexandrian text type . Kurt Aland placed him in Category II .

The fragments of the manuscript are currently kept in the library of the University of Oslo under the inventory number 1661.
