Paraballooning

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

When Paraballooning two are air sports together. Balloonists start in a competition and parachutists jump out of the basket with the parachute to land on a specific target. The balloonist marks his destination with the usual target marker. The closer the skydiver gets to this goal and the closer the balloon pilot's target marker is, the higher the score.

There are two variants of paraballooning:

  1. The balloon rises and immediately goes to a greater height so that the jumper can jump off and look for the target. The balloon then descends again so that the pilot himself can drop a target marker on the target, as in other balloon competitions.
  2. The balloon rises only a little so that the balloonist can place the target marker well. Only then does the balloon rise to drop the parachutist, who then heads for the target area.

Paraballooning has been held at the Warsteiner Internationale Montgolfiade since 2003 .
