Parcus House (before 1895)

The Parcus-Haus is a residential and commercial building in the Kreuzviertel of Munich's old town, Promenadeplatz 12 (formerly 16). The building is a listed building .

The five-storey building in the neo-renaissance style was built in 1887–1888 for the Parcus Brothers' printing company based on designs by the architect Friedrich von Thiersch . The Palais Hörwarth, which previously stood on this site, was demolished for this.

During the Second World War , the building was badly damaged and  rebuilt in a simplified form from 1948 to 1950 by the architect Otto Roth . The dome was not reconstructed until 2000.
