Park City Film Music Festival
The Park City Film Music Festival is an American film festival with a special focus on film music , which takes place annually in Park City and shows US and international productions. It was founded in 2004 and honors films in particular for their film music. Venues are the Egyptian Theater and other cinemas in Park City. In addition to the film program, concerts are held as part of the festival, and seminars and workshops on film music are offered. Prominent speakers were e.g. B. Hummie Mann , who wrote the soundtrack for Robin Hood - Heroes in Tights . It is considered the only American festival that specifically considers and distinguishes film music.

- In 2010 Jochen Schmidt-Hambrock received two gold medals - the Jury Choice Gold Medal and the Audience Choice Gold Medal - for his score for the short films Too Many Muses as well as Women, Jazz and Shoes .
- In 2011, the film Menschenliebe received a gold medal for its effective use of music.
- In 2011, the documentary Beatboxing - The Fifth Element of Hip Hop received a gold medal for its excellent quality of music in a documentary.
- In 2014 Philipp F. Kölmel received a gold medal for his music for Rubinrot .
- In 2014 Frank Schreiber received a gold medal for his film music for 40 weeks - from the germ cell to the child , as well as a silver medal for his music for the film Zeit der Olive .
