Frank Schreiber

Frank Schreiber (* 1973 in Worms ) is a German composer , film composer , sound designer and music producer .

life and work

Schreiber studied music and art at the Carl-von-Ossietzky University in Oldenburg and then film music and sound design at the Baden-Württemberg Film Academy in Ludwigsburg .

After receiving his diploma in 2004, Schreiber moved to Cologne and set up his studio in Cologne's Ehrenfeld district . There he composed and produced music for feature films , documentaries , advertising and image films , and also realized film mixes and sound designs. After ten years, he moved back to his home town of Worms in 2014, where he has lived and worked ever since. Due to his many years of classical piano training, beginning at the age of eight , the early work with electronic sound generators and sequencers , as well as his participation in various bands , his repertoire ranges from classical compositions for orchestra to popular music works to electronic ones Tracks , compositions of various musical genres.

Schreiber's music has received over 15 awards and nominations in film music festivals in Europe and the United States. His music can be found e.g. B. in cinema films ( Ummah - Unter Freunde , Manou The Swift etc.), documentaries and documentaries for television and cinema (e.g. traces in the stone , knowledge before eight - workshop etc.) or advertisements and image films ( Opel , DFL , Hyundai , BASF etc.). Schreiber is not only a composer in numerous films, but also a sound designer at the same time, especially in animated films or real films with animated sequences .

Schreiber is also a freelance writer for the specialist magazines Sound & Recording and Keyboards , where he a. Writes on the subject of film music, sound design and music production . At the Carl-von-Ossietzky University of Oldenburg he also holds seminars on the composition and production of film music as part of a teaching assignment at the Institute for Music .
