In a central urban location, a seven-storey multi -storey car park with 363 spaces for the Contipark Group was built in 1984 according to plans by architects Meinhard von Gerkan and Volkwin Marg from the Gerkan, Marg and Partner (Hamburg) office . Architecturally, the building is clearly structured with its double grid of brick architecture. A free staircase with its incline in front of the main facade, the arcades on the ground floor and the contrast between the brick structure and the two raised glass staircases give the building creative depth, plasticity and dynamism.
The architecture guide bremen writes: "The architects succeed in wresting considerable architectural added value from the mundane construction task of the multi-storey car park and the simple structure that it usually produces."
