In the 2018 general election in Fiji , the members of the parliament of Fiji were elected. The election took place on November 14, 2018; due to heavy rains, some constituencies did not vote until November 18th. It was after the general election of 2014 , the second democratic election since the coup of the military in 2006. The party FijiFirst of Prime Minister Frank Bainimarama lost five seats in parliament, but was able to defend its absolute majority. The largest opposition party, SODELPA, with Sitiveni Rabuka as the top candidate, won six seats.

Election result

Six parties ran, but (in contrast to 2014) no independent candidates. The number of seats was increased by one due to the increased population.
